Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities holds the short story of Zora. A city that is impossible to escape ones memory. This book was designed to capture the feel of the short story through using velum, a transparent material for the pages. By making a book made out of velum I played off of the story being about the city never leaving ones memory. Leaving every piece of the city/ book hazy yet tangible
